¿Cuáles son los requisitos para ser voluntario?
Caring Companions Volunteers (serving at the child welfare office) must be 18 or older and complete a criminal history background check and a nondisclosure agreement provided by the state. Applicants must attend training via Zoom or at the nearest child welfare office, if available, which is followed by a yearly online refresher course. Fosterful deploys volunteers using a web-based app; therefore, volunteers must have a smartphone to be alerted of available shifts.
Sidekicks Volunteers (serving in the home of caregivers for levels 1 and 2 cases) must be 21 or older and complete the above requirements in addition to CPR + First Aid Certification and 6 additional online training courses.

¿Cuál es el compromiso de tiempo?
The Caring Companions Program is an on-call volunteer commitment that takes place Monday through Friday, 8 am—5 pm, in hour-long shifts. We ask that volunteers have a somewhat flexible schedule and volunteer at least once per month, if only for an hour.
The Sidekicks Program is an ongoing volunteer commitment in which volunteers are matched with one foster family or kinship caregiver (levels 1 and 2) to provide recurring in-home childcare, tutoring, transportation, help with bedtime, etc. Each volunteer session would average about 2 hours for 6 to 10 hours per month.
